The taverns
In the heart of the craft village is the Taverne du Jean Bart alongside the impressive shipyard of the Jean Bart vessel.
As far as the cuisine is concerned, the dishes are simple and generous, and do honour to the classic regional dishes like the celebrated “potjevleesch” as well as original recipes like the famous smoked salmon steak, fish and chip style, or the “Welsh au saumon fumé”.
Tempt yourself as well by the “Brassée du Jean Bart” which will complete you culinary discoveries marvellously.
Every second Saturday of the month we organise a dining evening “Tradition du Nord” with musical entertainment. Fridays from June to September are also an opportunity to share musical moments, with family and friends, around assorted cold meats or fish. Convivial atmosphere guaranteed !
